/ interdisciplinary artist, scholar, and writer passionate about how art and the creative actions of everyday citizens transform city and society

collaborate

I am always looking for new collaboration, speaking and moderating, and consulting opportunities. I have a particular interest in consulting on arts and culture, environmental, and urban policy. I am interested in all stages of policy development, including early drafting, public consultation, implementation, execution, and impact.

I have previously worked as a policy analyst for the Canadian government on the development of environmental regulations. At the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency, I worked on regulatory drafting and amendments, collaborating closely with lawyers, legal drafters, policy analysts, and other stakeholders in English and French.

My doctoral research took a uniquely aesthetic approach to policy analysis, examining the lasting impacts of zero tolerance policy against graffiti on the city of Oslo. I was invited by the Agency for Cultural Affairs (Kulturetaten) at the Municipality of Oslo on multiple occasions to consult on the development of new street art policy. I have since analysed the city of Oslo’s Street Art Action Plan, a new policy with the goals of encouraging a vibrant street art culture in the city.

I am experienced in teaching and training, organising, hosting, and leading seminars and workshops on a wide range of topics — for in-person, online, and hybrid events. I am highly-organised and have excellent research, analysis, writing, communication, and public outreach skills. I am comfortable working with documents written in English, French, or Norwegian. For writing, teaching, and speaking engagements, my preferred working language is English (though I’m working on my Norwegian skills).

I have a growing interest in public programming, community building, and event planning and welcome any opportunities to collaborate with arts organisations in particular.
